The Art of Living Through Doing – Sponsoring the RCOTSSNP conference

From intervention workshops to multisensory stories, the recent RCOTSSNP conference was a hub of professional growth and expert insights.

We are thrilled to have sponsored the amazing ‘The Art of Living Through Doing’ Royal College of Occupational Therapy Specialist Section – Neurological Practice – annual conference on October 10th 2024.

The conference, held in Birmingham, was dedicated to empowering people living with neurological conditions through occupational engagement.

The event featured various talks and abstract presentations on topics such as vision impairment from stroke, functional neurological disorder, and the use of holistic treatments like Tai Chi/Qi Gong.

Our Krysalis team had a wonderful day, and it was great to see our fellow exhibitors, as well as some new and familiar faces. We want to thank everyone who said hello and engaged in some fantastic conversation.

We were excited to get involved in a demonstration of Tai Chi/Qi Gong, and feel its therapeutic effects, and we were blown away by the profound and moving talks from an array of speakers – from an author telling her husband’s MND story, to a Disability Voices Tasmania board member sharing his experience of life with brain injury.

Overall, the day focused on the power of neurological occupational therapy, and enhancing knowledge, passion, and confidence among Occupational Therapists working in neurology.

It is something we at Krysalis are enthusiastic about, so it was a delight to have been the headline sponsor of such a key event.
