So, to help kick-start your search, we’re taking an impartial* look at 10 of the latest models making headlines in the UK this year.

M Cabin Car Mk 2

We began our journey with one simple goal: to enhance the lives of the less able. This endeavour quickly became our mission, and we have lived and breathed it ever since.

Scooterpac

It was almost ten years ago when braving the elements in a mobility scooter became much easier thanks to a small team of inventors in Oulton Broad, Suffolk.

It was there, at the southern gateway to the Broads National Park, that the worlds first folding ‘hood’ for mobility scooters was created – the Scooterpac Canopy.

Capable of opening or folding in 30 seconds, the canopy is compatible with 95 per cent of mobility scooter models.

But it wasn’t enough for Scooterpac founder Dane Lawrence and his development team. Wanting more options in all-weather protection for mobility scooter users, they went on to invent the insulated, fibreglass Cabin Car.

The MK1 version made the Cabin Car the first mobility scooter on the market with standard features similar to a car, including:

  • Remote central locking
  • An interior heater
  • A reversing camera.

Then, in 2019, the Mk2 Plus launched with a new cabin shell, a range of kit extras and, as with its predecessor, the option for customers to customise their Cabin Car.

And it wasn’t long before the colours of a football team and famous cars such as film hero, Herbie the VW Beetle started gaining popularity.

"We create cabin cars how people want them, in any paint colour including metallics, and we've done Norwich City ones and the Herbie one," Mr Lawrence confirmed in an Eastern Daily Press report.
